Metallic Stearates

Metallic Stearates are compounds of long-chain fatty acids with metals of different valencies. The most widely used metallic stearates are Calcium, Magnesium, and Zinc. The long hydrocarbon chain of stearic acid makes the stearate highly water-resistant, good for lubrication, and has a relatively higher melting point as compared to other metallic soaps.

These properties allow its use in a wide range of applications in industries such has Polymer and Rubber, Paints and Coatings, Pharmaceutical and Cosmetics, and Building and Construction.

Metallic Stearates can enhance production processes, and, in many cases, they enable manufacturers to develop products with smooth surfaces and low friction.
